WTB 85 300td door strikers
Getting cold driving around with 3 of 4 doors pretty much unlatched. I tried the fixes suggested on the tech and diesel forums without success. Rubber is fine, plastic inserts shot - as usual. Thanks.

The rubber inserts in the strikers wear out or harden with time. The door won't latch fully when that happens. Read this thread: Door Striker
You can buy the inserts for about $32. I thought I had part #s somewhere but I can't find the post now.... Or some people go to a pick and pull and take them off the back doors on the same side (on many cars the back doors get much less use). You have to use one off the same side, however.
