I know these things are becoming a pain to find, but my blower in my 83 300d is just about dead. She spins, but putters out after about a minute, slowing to a crawl. Anybody have a decent used one they're willing to part with? A few people online have them for sale, but I'm not sure if I trust random sellers on ebay.

If not a used mb one, is there a different motor I can fit in there?

Maybe you can refresh some life into your old one? The motor could have the dust blown out of it and the connections sanded up a bit.
Just need to bend over a few little metal tabs and you'll be right inside it. I had one where the fan was starting to work it's way down the shaft and had started to drag along the housing. Painted the shaft with a few coats of clear rattlecan and that held the fan up a bit where it used to be.
Maybe a new one is in order.
I know there are at least 2 different fans on w123. I have put a different on in my 300d now (the one I 'fixed') Mounting screws are in a different order but I have kludged them in place. Electric connector is the same on the two models, just different length.

Apparently the blower for a W123 with AC is different from the one without...
