116 or 107 instrument pod FOR SALE

From the best I can tell this group of instruments fits 107 and 116 cars from 1974 to 1980. It has been in storage for about the last 20 years.

The 160 mph Speedometer works and so does the clock. The clock is noisy, though.

I cannot check the other instruments, but I have no reason to think they would not work as well.

This is a part for a car I no longer own, so after searching about for a fair price I figure $60 plus shipping ought to be about right. Shipping in the US would be about $16. If you are outside the US then contact me and I can let you know what the shipping costs would be.

This is from a gasoline car. I don't know if the tach would work for a Diesel car.

Instrument Pod

Do the lights work on the panel and does the reostat to control the light intensity function? I am restoring a 1975 450 SEL. Thanks, JN

Sorry for the late reply. I was traveling.

The dash light reostat works very well. I was able to hook up 12V through it and could see the dash lights dim and fill as I turned it. It also worked smoothly and without any 'drop-out' as you turned it.

There is only one dash light that worked since the other one is burned out. I looked around but I could not find another dash light bulb like the one needed, but they are available at the dealer. The nearest dealer to me is about 100 miles.

The odometer also works. I am sure you are aware that on VDO speedos this is a common area that fails. The trip odometer works as well.

This would fit a 1975 and would likely just plug right in.

If you have further questions then please feel free to ask.
