WTB new bundt wheel

I need one more new (or indistinguishable from new) 14X6 bundt wheel for my '83 300D. The original spare in the car has never been on the road, I found one from another member, and one on ebay. I just need that elusive fourth wheel.

I have one that I advertised locally for $90 with a "new" = never used one with a newer Dunlop attached.
Check the pics on my ad

Not sure how much shipping would be??
You could always make that winter southern migration down the east coast like so many other retirees

PM me with interest and send email address if you'd like more pictures

That would have been great, but it's a 6-1/2 instead of a 6".

Good eye, I had no idea they varied in the bunts.
This one came unused from the trunk of my sister's 300SD.

Same offset and would fit fine, right?

just different tire sizes possibly?

I think I have one in my trunk that's real nice. I have other nasty looking ones I can use so I'd be willing to part with the spare.
Trouble is, it has a tire mounted and I'm kinda far from you. I would ship from 47401
I'll get some pics up soon if you don't find something sooner/closer
How can you tell the width?

I'm waiting for pictures from a seller in NE PA. The size is cast on the inside of the wheel, just inside the spokes. It should read 6J X 14. I would pay you to dismount the tire and just ship the wheel, it would be cheaper than trying to ship the assembly.

AFAIK, the 6-1/2 wheels might work on a 123. I believe they were originally used on the SL with 205 tires.

It's my understanding that the 6.5 wheels were used on the w116s, w126s, and late w123s.

I have seen many, many cars with them mixed on the same vehicle. I owned one and didn't even notice the difference for some time....

Yes, I would agree they are interchangable.
This came out of the trunk of an 1983-84 300SD and I used it on my '77 before.
Fits the same and lugs were the same.

the other 6.5 rims mounted a stock size 195/70 r14 just fine for many miles

6.5 inch wide bundts were issued for V-8 cars.

6.0 inch wide bundts were found on inline engined cars.

There are supposedly some narrower bundts (5.5" ?)from the 4 cylinder lines, but I've never seen one.

A 6.5 inch wide bundt is NOT original if it came from a 300SD trunk.
From a practical standpoint, all of the 14 inch bundts are interchangable on all models, <edit> If bundts were original issue or original option. Models that crossed the 85-86 line, had larger front brake calipers post 85 and 14" bundts will interfere with the front calipers.

This one good enough for you? I've taken close-ups of all damage (there's not much, it was only used as a spare once that I know of). It could be cleaned up better too. If nothing else this might make a good spare for you:

I'd be curious to know what brand/model the original spare tire was. I have a Bundt+tire posted for sale over on Benzworld, came out of the spare compartment of a '79 280CE, looks like it was used exactly once, for all intents and purposes the Bundt is new. It does look like it's the original spare tire, but would like to be sure. Mine's a Bridgestone Turanza.
