WTB W107 v8 oil filter
Misplaced a fitting from the M117 alloy oil filter housing for my 380slc after cleaning it.
Would prefer a complete oil filter canister from another R107 alloy v8 car. Any 380, 500 or 560 can supply the necessary part. Thx -CTH |
Will a 450 M117 part fit? I believe it's the same part for 450SL's and 450SE's at least, and I'm parting out one of the latter.

regretably, no. Has to be an alloy v8 and an SL because those point down. The sedan ones point up.

Mine points down (an early model, 1973), but it's likely different I guess as it's not an alloy engine of course.
There's a 560SL (I think) in a scrapyard near me - I'll check it out next time I'm there if you haven't found one yet... |
