FREE PARTS!

I'm trying to clean out my garage and I've got a bunch of random parts, mostly W123. I'll let most of it go for free if you come pick it up or a small handling fee if you want me to ship it. Best thing to do would be just call or text me what you're looking for and I can take a peak, unless you just want to swing by and grab whatever. I'm pretty lousy about picking up my phone, so texting is more reliable. 978-394-9673

Sorry for the hijack, but I see that have a 240D 3.0t 4 spd. I have and 83 240d auto myself and want to swap in a 3.0 and a 4spd. I have a non-turbo 3.0 with a 4spd that I pulled from a 300d. I also have 3.0 turbo that I could use. Do you find you combo has turbo lag issues? Was the swap worth the effort(assuming you did it)?

Might want to take this to the diesel section...you will blow the engine by just strapping a turbo on the na motor. Anyways x2 to suggesting you give us an idea of what you have. I need a transmission but is imagine you don't have that...

Alright, I’ll try to make at least a partial list of what I have:

• Good condition W123 rear seat cover
• Becker grand prix radio (told worked when bought used, never got a chance to test) ($15)
• Becker Europa (Core, not functional)
• W126 driver’s door handle with key
• Starter Motor (works, but gets stuck in cold sometimes)
• Tachometer from W126
• Speedometer from W123
• Headlights (Sealed halogen, regular and amber fog)
• 4-speed transmission (MB, not getrag, needs new synchros, complete, but partially disassembled)
• Home-made injector tester
• OM615 valve cover
• W123 center console
• Some trim in fair condition
• Set of four 240D springs
• Used clutch and pressure plate
• W123 rear bumper and components
• Truck liners and carpet

I might ask for money for a few more that don't have prices.

And sorry about that, NCfriend, I'm sure you'll be able to find a better deal in NC with less rust.

I'd like the bumper and the amber fog lights.

Ah, perhaps I wasn't clear; I have both an N/A 5cyl & a turbo 5cyl. The n/a one has a factory matched 4speed bolted to it; the turbo has not.
