I am officially parting out this 1980 W116 300SD, Midnight Blue over Bamboo interior. Non running 280K mile OM617.

No shaft play in the turbo, turns over really strong, just doesn't start (probably no compression)

Blower motor works, all the lights work, auxiliary fan works, bumpers are nice, taillights are nice, interior is marginal (surfaces are nice but there is rodent damage to the padding internally)

I need a rear fender moulding for a W116 for the section that goes just behind the rear door as shown in the picture.
If you could help I would really appreciate it.

I would be interested in any/all of the interior (actually bamboo, not palomino) if it's inexpensive and I could drive out and safely remove it all from the car. Possibly other trim or W116/OM617-related parts in good condition... Particularly the seats (especially the back one but interested in all) if in good shape (skins, pads, springs).

I'm interested in the "running" motor

The motor didn't run. It's behaving like it has low compression. It ran when parked, 280k miles. It was parked in '02 or '03. It cranks over strong and if you crack the injector lines fuel is coming out of them now. I put a new primer pump on the motor.

It'll kick over every so often but it never starts.

I'd sell the motor complete if its any good to you as a non runner. It may just need a valve adjustment, or more intensively a ring job if they are stuck or broken. I'd be inclined to believe even though I soaked them I probably broke a ring or 5 when I first cranked it over. Message me if a complete, non runner does anything for you.

If the fenders are in good shape (no dents or rust at the bottoms), I'd be interested in them. Takes a blowtorch to melt the glue.

Drivers side front fender has a small bullet hole in it haha, I'll have to fully inspect the passenger fender.

Rear seatbelts and the little rubber surrounds where the checkstops tie into the door openings.

Atatexan, only one of the seatbelts is usable and the chrome on the buckle has some rust on it. I'd sell it for $10 plus shipping.

I'll have to look at what you're talking about in terms of the rubber.


I have both headlights, but the clear plastic has some cracks in it, I'd only like to part with the headlights as complete units, I'll get some pictures of them.
