I have one from a 116 300SD which I'm pretty certain is the same for 123s. I'm not sure which reservoir you are looking for? I'll see if there is a part # on it.

The cylinder shown is supposed to be for 1966 MB 230S W111, I hope!!! The one on the car is in bad shape and I doubt its the correct one, might be but theres no id numbers on it. This is one of those cars that had every Moron in the world "fix it" in stead of "work on it". Are you sure that tank is for the cylinder shown? Doc

Oh absolutely not!

Taking a quick look at your pictures it looked like mine - I see some differences now.

Use EPC / the stripped down Russian EPC (EverythingBenz - Mercedes-Benz Forum and Web Search Using Google) to try and find a part number - you might get lucky banging that number into google...

Tip for the future - if you say which car it is for in your first post you'll get less of the wild goose chases!

Also if originality is not an issue sometimes it is possible and sometimes even an advantage to substitute a later cylinder with the same critical dimensions.

I agree originality went out the window when the car arrived! The main ports to conect the tank to the cylinder are 5/8 holes on the cylinder so the tank needs to fill that are(+gromets). Once again thanks and my search goes on. Doc

I might elaborate by saying if the mounts are the same and the distance from the pedal link to the input of the mc, and the diameter of the hydraulics are the same it should work. I have substituted dual circuit mc onto older vehicles several times with very good success too. I have also solved basic design weaknesses too such as too much pedal pressure for the stopping availalbe by changing the diameter of the cylinder one size.

Well I must be in a good mood!

http://mb.ilcats.ru/part/class/1/ccode/F/cat/238/type/111/subtype/010/group/42/subgr//vers//imgno/7

Looks like part 620 to me

Part number is 000 431 45 02

Google that number and you'll find several sellers asking for about 100 USD.

I'm not sure that's good news - good luck.

1966 MB 230S W111 (V#11101012084669)

just got back from MB of Sarasota with no parts! The Reso (tank) they said was correct was not fitting the master cylinder I got from Euro sports. They have NO master cylinder at all. This is what I have for parts #s

000 431 45 02 or
000 431 64 02 then gromets 000 431 09 35 .....I think these are correct and I'm trying to find them now. Any help will be appreciated as always! Doc

ARMY; the holes don't match up!

At this point I'll settle for a used brake master cylinder with the tank and gromets complete!! Any of the systems that will fit into the brake booster on the car. I've been searching for this damn thing for 4 weeks now and honestly a brake master cylinder shouldn't take this long to find. I have 3 parts places that keep saying they'll get back to me but never do!
Anyone know of a complete system that will fit into the booster? Doc.

Oh bollocks.

Um I know you are on the other side of the country but can't the classic centre help you out?

(It won't be cheap but you should get a solution)

Have you tried the obvious and called Phil yet?

(Click on buy parts at the top of the screen)

EDIT -

Whilst you are posting this in the correct place - it might not be the best place to get the information you require. If I were you I'd start a new thread (with a link to this one) on the vintage forum. Some of those guys over there might be able to tell you what you've got just by looking at it. There's a really knowledgable chap from Australia over there who does lots of tricky conversions - if I remember his name I'll send you a PM...
