Paying it forward...Jacksonville and St Augustine Fl

Hi forum,

Helping 79mercy look for an engine for his recently acquired 84 300td sedan. He needs an engine, radiator, and a bunch of other engine bay stuff. Basically he bought a car without an engine and trans and their related accessories. It's a sweet chassis but missing a lot of parts.

Help the "kid" out (I have shirts older than him Let's find him a good used engine and other parts I have a spare transmission that I will be donating to the cause. It's actually the orginal trans that was in the car. I bought its engine and trans a couple of months before the owner then decided to get rid of the whole car. The engine has a broken timing chain and camshaft. It can probably be fixed but I was going to use the crankshaft in my 80 wagon engine that has a bad bearing and tore up the crankshaft.

If I can find a decent non turbo wagon engine for a great price, I will give him the cars old engine to tinker with and possibly rebuild.

He's willing to travel for the parts. I may travel with him, depending on my work schedule. The closer the better or maybe meet somewhere in between. I have an 80 sedan and a 4x8 trailer so we can haul some goodies

He has no idea that I am posting this so lets try and keep it between friends donations are cool or cheap prices are just as cool or possible trades of w123 parts. Let's get creative and see what we can do. I have had help over the years in my life and just want to pay it forward. Today's my birthday and I have had some opportunity to reflect back on my 44 years and marvel that I made it this far in regards to health, life and just everything wrapped together. Life has been good and want to give some back.

I want to use this opportunity as an exercise and see how we can come together as a forum, community and family. I am starting it off by pitching in with:

1. Transmission. $$free

I bought the engine from a running car, it was an SD. I changed the filter housing and oil lines to D version. relaced the oil pan, check valve and turbo drain tube. It has not been running but we could spark the starter and start it up for you. Everything is there for all systems. $150, you pull and Ill throw in the brand new double crimp oil lines, with those the engine is free.......

Sounds like a good candidate. Any ideas of miles on the engine? What is it in, your CD?

Do you have a radiator, oil cooler and other stuff? Thanks in advance.

2 seized engines and an extra transmission

I have 2 seized engines and an extra transmission. I just found a good engine for the 300D I picked up with the seized engine. I need an alternator off of one engine.

Let me know what you need.

Small "d" in daw_two, my friend neumann. I am NOT traveling near Jacksonville, FL anytime soon; however, my plans have a way of changing; often quickly. What do you need?

Example: I was planning on going home after work and bale hay --- I have some grass in my backyard that is probably 10inches tall. A quick check of the hourly forecast with 15minute details at www.weather.com for zipcode 38139 indicates the chance of rain at 5pm is 25% which quickly rises to 75% by 6pm. So am I mowing this afternoon after work? Who knows!?

Maybe this will be more productive this afternoon -->
