WTB W126 420SE/L/C Exhaust Manifolds
Does anyone have, or know the location of a pair of "EURO" log exhaust manifolds (and down pipes) for the W126 chassis with M116(380 or 420) engine?
The bolt pattern at the cyl. head differs from the M117(500/560), consequently those do not fit. Last edited by Frank Reiner; 09-26-2012 at 11:56 AM. Reason: 380 added per Hit Man X |

Best bet will be off 380s as those were imported heavily in the Grey Market craze. I have seen only one euro 420.
BTW, I just did this swap on my 560. Wait until you see how tiny that crossover pipe is behind the intake plenum. 1-5/8" was the OD once I removed that heat shielding. Buy new studs with new copper nuts. Reuse upper bolts. Buy new gaskets. Driver manifold installs from the top with the cam cover removed. You can tighten all the studs from the topside with the PS pump and bracket removed. Passenger installs from the bottom with the cam cover removed. These studs will have to be tightened from under the car, except the very front. Let us know the power gains you experience.
