WTB: Valve Cover and mounting stud for '84 300D

Hey guys,

I have a 1984 300D turbo diesel that I need a couple things for. Yesterday, while replacing my valve cover gasket, I realized that the bolt post on the passenger side that keeps the cover from squashing the gasket had cracked and was the culprit in my destroyed gasket.

If you've ever messed with a valve cover, you'll know the spot i'm talking about. I had the valve cover off originally because I had to replace one of the studs which stripped out. Luckily the threads were okay, and I was able to replace it with a bolt and some washers. I also used a washer to temporarily fix that issue with the damaged post on the other bolt. But being that this is on the passenger side, where the manifold is, it makes it hard to get the washers in ther and I hate having it cobbled together like that.

So what I'm in need of is a valve cover that is compatible with an '84 Turbo OM617 motor, and I need the stud for the right(passenger side) rear stud, which is bolted into the head.

If anyone knows of a good source for new studs, please let me know. Also, if you have the stud, but it's still in the engine, the best way to get it out is to thread two nuts onto the threads, then lock the luts against each other and use them to thread the stud out.

Idk what the fair going rate is on either of these parts, so lemme know whatcha got and we'll go from there. I'm not picky about the valve cover being dirty, I just need one that is not warped and not cracked anywhere, especially those post! haha

I'm gonna go by my local Mercedes indie who has a little lot of parts cars and let me see if he'll pull one, but there's no guarantee on that, so I wanted to get the word out here.

Thanks!

-Tony
