These are all big items so I prefer to sell them to local sellers as it's too much aggro to ship or even get a shipping quote. If you want to arrange your own shipment, I'll be happy to work with you in packing, crating, and assisting with loading.

Just scrap them and get the money. Shipping is an arm and a leg for such a big item. Since you've probably never shipped such a big item.

Something to know about truck freight shipping. The quoted prices are usually 60% over what anyone really pays. Lean on them a bit / start a commercial shipping account and the prices drop.
Drop off / pickup at a depot or a trusted business helps avoid the residential shipping adder. Most smaller freight lines have agreements with other shippers so it is possible to get something shipped long distance by a local carrier. |

Hello Al,
Do you still have the 722.3 transmission available? I need either a complete unit or a Valve Body for a 722.323. I am in Lewisville! Cheers, Ron |

Slow down, there!
Quote:
I've shipped several large items from East Texas to all over at a better price (though admittedly, I hooked up with a tractor parts dealer who ships worldwide, so I pay his cost and a bit for crating). Yes, these are big items, but if somebody smashes your door, you're going to want a door, not a bucket of Bondo. And Al takes GOOD care of his stuff, so he'll be a great source for some folks. Finally, I've been spending a lot of time in the Dallas area for the last 4 years or so, and there are a BOATLOAD of older Benzes rolling down those roads (when you've been driving them a while, you tend to notice -- we wave to each other, for the most part!), and a number of older Benz owners from the north Texas area are right here on this forum, so he'll probably have several local buyers. Unless, of course, he just needs an empty garage, and doesn't care about the money or the parts!
