I am finally getting to the point of upgrading the HID's on my 350SDL for Euros.

I am in the market for a complete set of Bosch's, including the dash switch for adjustment.

What few new ones I've seen on the web are stratospheric in price ($700 and up).

Does anyone here have ideas where I should look specifically?

I could probably spend $300 or so, but that would be pushing it...

If you want the real deal, you will have to spend it. New Mark VIII HID headlights run over $1,200. $700 is a decent price. The DEPO brand does come in cheaper, and they are not at all bad. The fog reflector is chrome though. I took the yellow reflectors out of mine and installed them in my Depos. I need my fog lights!

As an alternative to the OEM Euro type, consider backdating to 1st Gen. 126 USA assemblies, equipped with aftermarket Hella or Cibie E-code replacement lamps with your choice of H-4 bulbs. The Hella and Cibie lamps are a direct replacement for the US spec. 6054 sealed beams. The 1st Gen. parts are common on Ebay.

You're welcome; your '81 300SD has the 1st Gen. headlight assemblies.
Are your origins in NH? Sadly, the Old Man is no more.

Frank - I switched my 81300SD headlights for Depo euros earlier this year, but I want Bosch's on the 350SDL. In fact I do have NH roots. When the Old Man went down, it was like a death in the family...
