'82 190E 2.6 Engine for sale
 

I built this engine for SCCA's IT-S class in the spring of 2012. Fresh everything with 1 hour of track time and dyno only. The car was totalled at Charlotte in August and I'm out of Benz racing. Injectors and fuel distributor blueprinted during the build. Euro touring car bundle-of-snakes headers included. $1200 plus shipping.

I also have two 2.6 five speed gearboxes with the shifter, linkage, pedal assembly and dual mass flywheel if interested. $1000 plus shipping.

This is actually a 1991 engine. I don't know what I was thinking when I said '82.

Do you have the air cleaner and will it mount on a 124 chassis?

What was the hp rated at for this engine? Is it the same as a stock 2.6?

Stock was right around 165 at the crank, we got that at the rear wheels which equates to about 185 at the crank. Rules only allow 1/2 point compression increase, port matching, header, timing and fuel changes but stock cam. These engines are amazing - we ran our first for two 24 hour races plus seven 12 hour endurance races in SCCA.
