FS: 1994 E500 USA headlights

I have a pair of 1994 E500 USA headlights for sale, see photo below. The passenger side lens has a nice long crack in it that goes diagonally across the main reflector area. The 1994 USA headlights are very similar to the Euro headlights, the primary difference is that the USA version does not have vacuum level control, and does not have provision for the "city light". However the light output on the '94 E500 USA lights is excellent and basically equal to the Euro version (unlike the 500E USA lights, which were quite poor, especially on low beam).

You can replace the 1994 USA lenses with Euro E500 (or Euro 500E) lenses if desired, they are interchangeable, but the Euro lenses most likely need to be sourced from Europe. These lights have HID burners installed, but those can be removed if desired (which I'd recommend, I'm not a fan of HID's in halogen reflectors). I believe these headlights+lenses are approx 4.5 years old and have approx 40kmi on them. 1994 USA lenses are not available separately from MB thanks to stupid DOT rules, your only option is to install Euro lenses if you want to replace the lenses.

The headlight part numbers are 124-820-07-57 (left) and 124-820-08-57 (right), current MSRP is $398 USD each, $796/pair.

Asking $325 / OBO for the pair.

For reference, the 500E Euro lenses are #'s 000-820-12-66 and 000-820-13-66, the E500 Euro lenses are #'s 124-820-57-66 and 124-820-58-66. These may be comm-blocked in the USA so please check with your local dealer (or the MB Classic Center) for availability.

My apologies for submitting this as a Reply here, however, I can't find any "New Post" button to push on the site. My question is whether anyone would know the cause, and what needs fixing.
