FS-1992 Mercedes 300D 2.5 Turbo 5-SPEED
After much mental anguish I have decided to sell my 5-speed project. I am having issues with clutch slippage and I think the flywheel is worn past its serviceability. With that said the car runs excellent and has many new parts including: SPEC clutch and pressure plate; seals, synchronizer rings, and bearings in the transmission; flex discs; many new parts in the front end; shocks and struts all the way around; recently replaced wheel bearings; brake pads and rotors; and much more.
It has 278,000 miles on the clock. It would be a great car for a lot of parts, especially if you are considering a 5-speed conversion. My wife drove this car for a couple of years as a 5-speed, so someone with the right contacts for parts can easily put it back on the road. Flywheels are fairly scarce used and I can't justify the cost of a new one. All of the conversion parts came from a 1985 190D. (I also have the running 2.2 liter engine and other parts from this car for sale if you are interested.) I am asking $1500 for the whole car and it will have to be towed. Pictures are available by email. |
geez dude... I gotta FW sitting in my garage. Don't sell it if your uneasy about it, just look at my signature :(
