WTB Miscellaneous 300TD bits

Hello everyone,
The PanAmerican expedition is making incredible progress! I was wondering if any of you have any of the following parts to leave the car working at a 100% for the rest of the journey and have some spares. Here's what I need:

1981 300TD (the one with the W126 300SD engine, yes)

-Glowplug bulb #1 socket. Mine is badly corroded/burnt for some reason.
-One or two reverse light lenses for wagon models.
-Rear right door quarter glass.
-VCV transmission vacuum valve. If mine fails, I am kaput!
-Rebuilt power steering box (cheap labor here, might be worth it)

Let me know what you have! These parts will be sent to my friend in Texas.

-Glowplug bulb #1 with a few inches of cable, it grounds on the instrument cluster. Mine is badly corroded/burn for some reason.
-One or two reverse light lenses for wagon models.
-Rear right door quarter glass.
-VCV transmission vacuum valve. If mine fails, I am kaput!
-Rebuilt power steering box (cheap labor here, might be worthed)
-A cheap, working Becker radio with tape deck and the back wiring.

Let me know what you have! These parts will be sent to my friend in Texas.

On the p/s box. I'm a few boxes behind in orders right now, but if you pay shipping I'll rebuild a box and give it to you for free (I'll find the core).

I cannot put into words how thankful I am about this offer! :o :)

Excellent! The VCV has to come from a W126 300SD, as it has the OM617.951 engine that has a slightly different linkage.

Do you want a tape deck? I have the old radio I removed from my 240D that has an iPod hookup and mp3 cd player. It was working when I removed it and you can have it if you want it. The wiring harness is cut pretty short though so it may not be the easiest to install.

Thank you for the offer! However, I think I will pass on the radio...

I tinkered a little with the car, and I have found out the glow-plug light was just a faulty connection, and that my cassette adapter is not supported in radios with auto-reverse. I have used the Sony and the RadioShack adapters and they have worked wonderfully. So, for all the hassle that is worth, I just ordered a $10 Sony adapter and kept my inconspicuous radio... good to be below the radar for thief purposes...

The glass and the lenses are crucial, so if anybody has any, please let me know!

Ah yes I didn't even think about the theft aspect of a newer radio. One of the reasons I removed it was because it was a bit gaudy :D

Oh, yes, we W123 appreciate our car's German solemnity.
Such purity of lines! And then, the previous owner installs this...

Luckily my dinosaur radio is a discreet black design with squarish lines. No one would want it!

Reverse light lenses

As an option, Harbor Freight has clear foglights for dirt cheap that fit in the bumper hole. Most wagon owners like to hold on to those spares.

I think I have the door quarter glass you need. I will check when I get home.

Passenger side rear lense

I have a not so perfect passenger side rear tail light and blinker lens that you can have free if you want it as a spare. Shoot me a PM with the address.

No problem now... vstech is getting me the parts I need! Thanks to everyone for your offers! :)
