'82 240D Body, '84 300SD Trans
 

I have an '82 240D body in better than average condition, located in Wilmington, NC. I can deliver within 200 miles or so if you buy fuel.

I can't get the pics to upload as I've already posted them in the Diesel Discussion section (Pics of my 240D IIRC). Suffice it to say that this car is much better than normal although there IS some rust creeping into the floor which could be welded in pretty easily. I do body work so I know what I'm talking about!

No engine or trans but decent interior - carpets have been removed.

Several folks on the Forum have said that this car is too good to scrap so here's your chance! If no one adopts it in a week or so it'll go to Pick-N-Pull.

Also available - an M-B automatic trans and torque converter from my '84 300SD. The car is gone and now the trans needs a new home as I have the manual trans out of the 240D for my project truck. I drove the vehicle before I pulled the engine and trans and all gears worked well. I JUST had the trans professionally resealed (front and rear seals and pan gasket/filter) and the transmission tech said that all looks well - NO bits in the pan, fluid bright red, etc. Trans includes flywheel (good ring gear teeth), the "batwing" intermediate plate, etc. - ready to bolt in. This trans is set up for an electronic speedometer.

$150 - you arrange shipping if outside coastal S.E. NC.
