jag 2.88 posi loc differential for hot rod project
de koolo de-la Haawadrdrrrr ~~ The ass of the jaguar
I got a 2.88 posi loc differential from a 89 xjs-he coupe that would be great for a --oh say studebaker pickup, etc custom project with a traditional 4 speed or non overdrive automatic, it would provide great hwy mileage, and let that rod Gobble up the hwy. They are a "left handed dana 44" This is the differential itsself - not a jag irs assembly. $250.00. just as often as not- the jags are found with open diffs, they can be drilled and have a auburn unit installed--at a big chunk of change, this one--just swap out with the center. |
I'm planning to keep it simple with the ford 9" F150 rear end for now. That's not to say in the future I might not go for something fully independent though.;)

I really dont know why no-one has looked into the jag swap on a w123, im back messing with rods that were neglected because of the chuggy buggies or else ide be the first. this would be the easiest and fastest way to a lsd irs. A custom top cross brace with 4 rubber leafspring type bushings--and two track rods running forward is all it takes, redrilling the merc wheel pattern would be easy.
