WTB: 123 Climate control unit

I'm in need of a good working 123 climate control unit. Let me know what you have and what you'd like for it shipped to 34786.

Thanks

That covers a lot of ground! Are you looking for the automatic or manual unit? Also the AC setups where different after 79 or 80 I believe. Need a bit more to go on here.

Sorry,

It's for an '83 which would have the automatic unit.

The current push button system does not allow the fan to turn on with low fan speed but hitting defrost then low will allow it to run slow. Blower motor is fine, so it has to be the CCU

I think Jamesdean can repair/reflow the boards for around $100. May be worth contacting him.

I believe the climate control on the 123's in that era was the same as the 126's... There are three modules in the system

1) Push Button Unit
2) Temperature Regulator
3) Blower Control Unit

The PBU is pretty simple. Nothing but relays, resistors and diodes. IIRC, the PBU sends a signal down to the blower controller. You might have damage in the blower control unit or a bad capacitor in there.

If you want, you can shoot me an email, JamesDean59@gmail.com and we can discuss it more.
