I've received hoods shipped via Greyhound for pretty low rates before bundled up in cardboard...just FYI in case you hadn't considered it.

Funny, I sent an SEC hood via greyhound and it arrived smashed to pieces.

Sad. did they cover the damage? I've had two 116 hoods and a trunk lid arrive from the southeast without issue.

Nope, I gave the buyer a euro bumper to make it right. Hopefully he was able to fix it. The pictures he sent look like they tied a rope to it and dragged it behind the bus for 1000 miles.

w123 Euro parts?

Hello, you! Hope all is well with you.

Do I remember correctly that you focused exclusively on the larger of our era of MB diesels?

I remembered your fondness for Euros (with good cause, if that diplomatic baby you brought to one of our tech sessions was any example!), but I thought I'd ask.

Roy suggested I could rid myself of the "servo from he11" on John's 300D n/a that we're restoring with a completely mechanical unit from a Euro. THAT would make life just about perfect, since summer's starting to heat up.

If you have any ideas on sourcing one, let me know, please.

Hi there, yep I try to buy Euro cars when I can but I don't mind US cars either. Regrading ACCII, I think that a 240D will give you basically everything that you'll need to do conversion to a manual climate control. I have 76 240D that I will soon dismantle but I may want to keep my A/C components for my 1980 280TE (manual transmission). It has no a/c from the factory and in a few months, it could sure use it

I'm also kicking around the idea of selling the 280TE so I may not end up doing the conversion. If it does not happen, I'll let you know.

Thanks
