I have a complete 5 speed 190e/w201 mercedes benz transmission swap from a 1987 2.3 8 valve
swap includes
*1987 2.3 8 valve transmission 180k in great shape no grinds or popouts
*clutch and brake pedals ,
*shifting assembly complete with rods, shifter box hardware
*driveshaft
*transmount
* all clutch lines in perfect shape
*brand new OEM Mercedes Benz clutch and pressure plate for 1987 2.3 8valve with receipt from dealer zero 0 miles on it
* 1987 2.3 8 valve manual trans flywheel or 1984 190d 2.2 manual trans flywheel
* all hardware
asking $850 for everything including new clutch and pressure plate

can i ask why? it came out of a 5 speed 190e 1987 2.3 8 valve
not sure why the length has anything to do with purchase

I'm curious to see what the length is & how it compares to a 722.303 that I have sitting around. In the interest of full disclosure, I most likely wouldn't be buying his thing because I prefer buying parts cars, but I'd like to do this swap in my 300SD and I'm wondering whether or not I'll have to mess with the driveshaft in order to get the 5-speed in or not.

This transmission will not fit into your SD, Starter on wrong side and the bell Housing Bolts will not line up w/o a bunch of modifications. The automatic and 5 spd are not the same length.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
