WTB: W108 Front Driver Electric Window Regulator
 

Looking for a Front Driver Side Window Regulator for Electric window.
No motor needed.

Also, a piece of wood for the any of the door window frame (SEL for rear) as I want to experiment with different finishes without trashing my originals.

My thoughts based upon having owned several W108/W109s in the seventies/eighties, is that this regulator is well known to be a short lived part.

Most W108s on the road either need one or will need one, and those parts cars that are still around will have already lost this part if it was still in good shape.

I'd bite the bullet and buy new, most used parts will not last very long, even if you can find one.

For some reason, the gap between the teeth starts enlarging (frame bending?), leading to skipping which accelerates the wear....

Jim is correct. They die cast frames warp or the gears wear. I can adjust the alignment or rebuild the gears. I will sell you one or fix your old one. I'll check the 6 W108 parts cars out back first. Send me an email......
