WTB w201 clutch line
As the title says I am looking for a clutch line for my 190e, it is the one that goes between the master cylinder and the hard line (#71 in the picture)
This is the last item I need to do my 5spd conversion and I am losing my mind driving an automatic

Several people have made their own with brake line. Or is that the end that actually that has the rubber hose made into it? If its that one its only like $50 at the dealer, just buy a new one.

That's really strange that the 201 one is discontinued and the 124 one is not. Either way sorry I can't be of any help then.

Can the 124 one be rigged to fit the 201?
I sympathize with going nuts. More than a week with an automatic without a manual thrown in drives me up the wall.

Pictures of it in this thread
717.412 (5 speed manual gearbox) refresh I'm actually using the four speed pipe that came with the car and the four speed gearbox - it is a bit of a wiggle getting it to refit on the 5 speed that is now in the car.

way easier and better to just get -3 AN conversion fittings for each end and buy a pre-made -3 line.
Thats how I did it on my w123 conversion years ago and have put over 100K on that setup. I am going to do the same upgrade on my w124 when my new clutch and PP get in from clutchnet. I believe the fitting needed is the same for both ends, but you can verify that if you havent yet installed the parts. |

used to be every benz went to the benz specialist yard or the higher bidder who was handy. i have taken cars apart for visual, to learn the cars system. helped me learn what was in there. i can tell you. those schematics we get in the books are not all right. especially on 190E. i would go see how its done, then either buy that one, or have it made at the hydraulic line shop. ours is williams oil filter on puallup ave in tacoma. i did see a clutch hose on ebay for 190E. theres a NOS source for (discontinued) benz parts but you must call and talk to the good fellows, BENZPARTSWHOLESALE.com I think they had to wake eichmann last time i asked a 190E question Last edited by 190E 2.3 rur rur rur; 02-20-2014 at 03:04 AM. |
