WTB: rare '78 om617a engine mount parts

Hello all!

Thanks for looking. I'd love to find a part if anyone could help me out.

Part numbers 1232230040 and 1232410430

Number 95 and 92 in the picture.

It's for a early w123. Pre 1980 I think. Not sure exactly what years and models.

Thanks

I have that bracket with the 2 shock absorbers, but I am not sure what part #92 or #95 does? I have the same set up in my DD (it's removed right now, getting ready for the turbo engine).

Pictured parts 92&95 are what I need. It's like a third engine mount I guess. Attaches just behind the oil sump to the crossmember. You have that?

Let me check. I had this set up in my current DD. I recall removing the brace or bracket that holds the 2 shock absorbers and there was something behind the cross member I removed. I will look tomorrow. Battling either a mild cold or crappy allergies right now.

I can see the mounting holes in the block and the mounting hardware on the cross member so i assume that it should be there...but maybe not.

CoolJay might be right since my 1983 was originally a 240D .. It was "converted" for the 617.912 NA. I looked and only found a few miscelleneous pieces such as a few fastners and a small metal plate, but they are not the items pictured. The one piece is still connected to the crossmember by what appears to be a rivot.

Hey Mark; the 78 I did a engine swap with; the original 617 had that front mount in the 78 300d.

Hey,

I looked and I don't have those parts so I am thinking I never had them. But then again, my car was originall a 240D so I doubt when the 5 cylinder was installed, all the bits here and there were installed. Sorry Bro ... Your beautiful red 300CD does not need them anyways.

I was able to locate the parts at benzpartswholesale.com for the lowest price of 251.68 shipped. I have ordered from these guys before and they provide great service.

Hey no worries. I wouldn't say that I've ever had any roughness issues beyond what new MMs and other rubber parts didn't take care of. Just would like to have it complete if I can. Don't know about shelling out 250 for the parts.

My car never had it....and the 77 d I pulled parts from didn't have it and the 77 cd I was working on didn't have it....

If i had to take a guess, this was probably added if the dampers/shocks were added...

I would use that 250 to buy new dampers, new phoenix/lemforder turbo mounts and a lemforder trans mount...

rough idle can be caused by these items, pressure relief valve, no cigar hose, ip timing, valves...
