WTB: OM603 injection lines

Hello,
I am rebuilding a spare 603 and am only missing a set of the injector hard lines. If anyone has a set sitting on a shelf taking up space, I'd be willing to take them off your hands for a fair price. Thanks!

I've got a set from an 87 300D, OM603.

$50, shipped to lower 48.

Question .. For what number head? The angled injectors found in the later castings use a different hard line from the straight injector setup.

Are they that different that they couldn't be used? bending the lines a bit perhaps? I believe the difference was only 5*... I am installing a #18 head, but with early prechambers...I beliieve that means I need the ones he listed. in any case, thanks for bringing it up brotha!

I think you can get away with bending... But it would be nice not to!

No. 18 head... Excellent!

Yeah, got it on Ebay, pretty cheap because it looked like it had some repairs done to it, but the guy had it pressure checked. I'm swapping over all the cam bearing/cap stuff and pre chambers and injectors and hydraulic tappets as it was bare.
The angle is part of the prechamber, correct? I seem to remember that being the case.

I'm pretty sure #17+ castings are machined with the angle.

Sounds like a great deal! As badgator stated, the angle is in the castings. But you can still use the early lines, just gotta to bend them.

You are correct, for the inclined injection design the angle of inclination of the nozzle holder and hence the hard lines from the IP to the nozzle holders is determined by the prechamber which has its threaded opening arranged off-axis by 5 degrees. Those prechambers also have a slightly different spherical ball and a machined detent inside the prechamber itself.

The differences between the vertical and angular are described and illustrated in the 602/603 FSM in 01.10 -417/3 - Crankcase and Cylinder Head Section
