Ok guys need to move my parts car. Gotta try to keep the wife happy lol. Its an 85 300D turbo diesel, has 220k ish miles on it. Car is pretty much still complete. Has a henna red MB tex interior in pretty good shape minus a tear in the driver seat. Exterior is like a darker silver metallic. Most body panels have rust except for I think the hood and trunk lid. Car was running and driving when I bought it about 2 years ago but had a tapping noise around 1 cylinder. Previous owners said it had been making the noise for years but had never gotten any worse. It was used as a backup car so I guess they never minded it. Sounds to me like a broken piston/skirt. Sounds like its coming from combustion chamber area (99 percent sure its not an injector problem if you guys were thinking that).

Have some extra random parts that came with the car like various switches and things of that nature. I can email/text pictures of parts if needed. Would like to have the car gone in the next 3 or so weeks to make room for new arrivals! Let me know what you guys need and also would be willing to sell car whole. Thanks!

I'd probably have to think about whether I need anything else... but how much for the chrome/rubber trim bars that are right below the taillights - shipped to 01604?

Also curious about the grill..

I'm fixing up a beat '83 240D right now, and I've always preferred the chrome pieces below the taillights that came from the factory on the 300D. I never understood why these weren't standard for all W123s.

Interested in interior pieces; willing to buy the whole car.

They were an extra option on the higher end models...the euro 300d's didn't have the chrome ones either....I got a par of chrome ones for my euro as i am missing one of the black ones...haven't decided to keep the chrome ones or install a black one later on....like you...I also like them...

Well someone cut my window switches out!!!

Can you sell some window switches but cut some wire so I can rewire mine? In other words, do not unplug them...I need some splice room! How much including wood surround if its in good shape.
