Wanted: Source For Teflon Transmission O-Rings
My roommate's 1991 W126 350SDL with 722.3 has no reverse (previous owner said reverse started taking longer and longer to engage until it finally would no longer).
We are thinking that the teflon O-rings in the transmission around the B3 piston/accumulator switching on valve are damaged. Not wanting to risk installed used ones from another transmission, we are looking for a set of new O-rings. We can get a complete valve body O-ring kit for around $60, but that is a lot to spend for only the two O-rings we need. Did anyone buy one of the 125 270 06 35 Or-ring kits and not use them all, and would be willing to sell just a couple of them? I am not sure yet what size we need, but I will confirm before purchase. It doesn't seem that the B3/accumulator switching on valve or O-rings are available separately.

source from alternate retailers
Get the specs for the o-rings (svc. man., epc, local indy, etc.) and hunt down specialty shops that only sell seals and such. Worth a try. MmCarr might even provide gold.
Don't forget to post your results either way in this thread. I'm looking at rebuilding a .321 myself, maybe. MBZ123

It looks like these are square cross-section O-rings made of Teflon and have a split in order to allow them to expand to slide them onto the piston. It appears that Cobra Transmission sells the "Accumulator Rings Kit" for only $10.99. This might be the way to go.

Sweet
Good job. Glad you found a better solution. Looks like you won't have to buy a ton of parts you won't use.
