Attached items for sale. I would like to sell the whole lot;

picture 1) is a W124 fuel injector lines spline socket tool,
BMW reset tool, W126 valve spring holder wrench-32mm

picture 2-3) JTC 1801 Mercedes coil spring compressor W123, W126, w124, W140. I used personally to remove all 4 springs on my 300sd and on my old W124, works wonderfully!

picture 4) DuPont Iglo R-12 freon, 9-12 oz cans, this is the good stuff, nice rust free cans stored inside my house.

I know the price range I want and what this lot is worth so entertaining offers or bids. I have a certified paypal account and can ship anywhere. Thanks for looking.

It is obviously your sale and your business, but why not save people lots of time and provide the price you want. As it stands, numerous folks may waste their time PMing you offers which are no where near your minimum.

I realize my advice is worth about what you paid for it.

Really, just cut to the chase. I dispise the ridiculous bidding war scenario...

PM sent.

yes I see that the bid thing may not be the way to go but I just got a pm for $20 a can for the R12-seriously? low ball city...these cans go for $30-$40 each on ebay; with that said..im looking in the range of $300- $450 for the whole lot.

sleepstar 04-12-2014 07:57 PM

no offense but if you want to get $30-40 a can then sell it on ebay. i've seen them for sale locally for less than that.

DieselPaul 04-13-2014 09:08 AM

By not posting a price you beg to be low balled. You're asking the buyer to guess, and come on, do you expect them to guess high?

$300 for everything seems quite reasonable. I own everything but the BMW tool though, good luck with the sale though! Some good stuff in there.

PM sent. Thank you.

I bid 5.99$ and except free shipping :D

20$ a can for the r12 is a good deal.....not sure why people still assume selling on ebay is free and the listed price of items are what yours is worth even though it hasn't sold for that...

Ebay and paypal combine charges 13% for fees....lets say you sell a can for 30$ plus 11.95$ shipping that is 4.16$ in fees....leaving you are roughly 25$ can...plus you have to wait until god knows when for them to sell....you get an offer for 20$ a can now, and to the same person with out fees....yeah you are crazy to pass that up...

Thanks for all the advice and replies. fwiw I did research completed listings on ebay for "DuPont Iglo" R12, 12 oz cans. Yes every now and then you see a can for under $30 but the average is $35.

I will take my sale elsewhere, I should have known better than to list here..smdh..tried to sell my nicely restored 1984 300SD on this site and got the same type beat up the add, low ball, get it on the cheap, pick it apart mentality...found the right buyer who knew what it was worth on another website, he has a nice car now, at a mutually fair price.

pedrocamp 04-14-2014 11:38 AM

James,

I meant no disrespect in my private offers. I would have been happy to listen to your counter-offer and may have raised my offer had you responded to my PM. You did not state a price so I of course made an offer based on what I had luckily paid for R12 before. I have been searching for R12 for a while... of course I want a good deal but am willing to politely engage in finding a mutually acceptable price. You may have declined my offer via PM rather than ridiculing my offer publically here on the forum.
I then offered to buy all your parts, some which I don't need, within the price range you stated. Again, on the low end but I gave you another chance to make me a counter-offer which I may have agreed to.
I regret that I may have diminished the reputation of the forum in your eyes by my attempts to buy the parts you had for sale. This is a good, active forum for older Mercedes cars, one of my primary sources for parts and information.

I wish you luck selling your parts on eBay or another Mercedes forum.

Respectfully,

Pedro Campuzano

I only saw one PM Pedro. Did not mean to ridicule your offer it is in the ball park at least. Thanks for the offer.

pedrocamp 04-14-2014 12:17 PM

Thank you James.

My offer of $300 for the lot still stands; if someone will pay more, you choose (or chose) not to accept my bid or decide to sell elsewhere then I'll just continue my search for R12. Your nine cans would last me for a while but a 30lb cylinder would be nice. The spring compressor I may eventually need, the other tools not so much... other than loaners for friends.

Kind of a cranky thread...

James L 04-14-2014 01:59 PM

Threads can sometimes turn opinonated with kranky tones but for me its all good, no offense taken.

Pedro, I did not see your $300 offer until now, we may can do business, especillay since your not that far away. Let me consider.
