looking for spare turbo 617 motor

same as title. Need it to swap out and partially disassembled and get a vehicle running and put the current engine on a stand to work on. My location is 02906, and will be willing to make a drive for a decent mileage good running engine.

PM me if you have one kicking around you'd like to sell.

I have one, but I need to get it running/at least pull compression #s. I may have spare time this afternoon and would try that.

I might also be interested in a partial trade for your turboed OM616, but would have to see how much cash I need.

better put that out of your mind, that motor is a spare for my 240, which is also getting the turbo stuff.

Ahh rats, I just remembered that a guy in TN has expressed interest in it... I'll see if he chickens out after seeing shipping charges (probably about $400). Sorry about that.

At least it bumps your thread!

Don't blame you for holding onto your 240D motor... since I'd like it, I can understand wanting it .

Indybenz has two for sale in downtown Indy. Has both a 300D and SD. Wants to sell, is a motivated seller as he is moving oversea. Hard to pack a pair of 617's along. Right off I-70 in Indy.

What kind of dollars is the one you're looking at there? Just trying to learn what the prices are for what you get?

4-600 bucks for a good running engine near the 200k mark. im gonna pay 500.

ive paid 300 in the past for unverified yard motors shipped, but add a couple hundred to get them in hand. all these motors are 617s for price comparison

That ALL sounds reasonable to me.
