The only detraction is a hairline crack line at the side of the top red button.

Red button has the white framed triangle on top.

I have a working hazard switch out of a '79 240D, matching that description, sitting right in front of me on my desk. Part number 123 820 02 05

Yes it has 8 pin connectors. (edited 6-20-14 YES you are correct, it has 7 pins NOT 8 )

Presumably the 1979 240D would have the same switch but evidently yours is not. OK according to one outfit the 79 240D has a different part.

(updated 6-20-14 correction, the 240D has the same hazard switch as the 300D)
