WANTED 3.07 differential

I need a differential for my 1983 300d 617 turbo california spec.
I have not verified what the differential is yet but will contact the dealership tomorrow.
Throwing this into the wind, I am in northwest Ohio as well.
Thanks

I happen to have a nice 3.07 sitting on my garage floor right now.

It's been sitting for a few years (not sealed), but should clean out just fine.

I can take pics tonight and see about crating it up for you. Greyhound would probably be the best way to get it to you.

I am right up in Grand Rapids MI and have a good condition (quiet running and clean inside) 3.07 available off a 1983 300D. Let me know if interested. You are not far away, I could possibly meet you half way or something or you could come get it.

Thank you I will look for that, the problem is my diff is clunking and it has play in the travel fairly bad. Still not sure what to do besides replace it.

Is the diff clunking or the half-shafts? I've rarely seen a diff have major problems. Have you taken the cover off and watched the gears to try and identify the root cause of the clunk?

I lifted it up and checked both cv joints, both are decent. The driveshaft moves about an inch before it moves the cv joints and it is clunking bad.
I drive alot, about 600 miles a week.

3.27 not the same ratio

A 3.27 would get you a quicker off the line response.
Shipping shouldn't be too much via Grey Hound.
