1974 Mercedes 280C
I have a 1974 Mercedes 280C with a M110 DOHC engine. The distributor drive gear has several broken teeth so it jumps timing. This is a double gear that runs off the timing chain and connects to the shaft with the worm gear which turns the end of the distributor shaft. I have tried to locate this part with no success. It's as though it never existed...
Does anyone know where I could find this gear? |

Stretch:
From the OP's description I think it's the intermediate gear #59; the double row chainwheel that drives the intermediate shaft. M130 P/N. |
