Surely someone can put this to good use. For those that have successfully shipped a transmission any pointers or recommendations on shipping one?

Get a small pallet, ratchet strap it down and use bailing wire to secure it as insurance. Build a small crate and screw it to the pallet to hold the odds and ends or ship separately.


I think the aluminum slope back 4 speeds are light enough to ship via fed ex. You just need a double wall cardboard box and build in some nice bracing for the transmission so it foes t shift in place while in transit. If it stays put the box won't get damaged.

The buyer in Texas found another car with driveshaft included so this is still available. Preference goes to someone local.
