WANTED: 15" Steel Wheels
Looking for either 15x7 (A126-400-28-02) or 15x5.5 (A123-400-10-02). They are both steel wheels that were never offered in the U.S. The 15" hubcaps are still available from MB and I'm looking to go that route.
Thanks!

Hi Josh,
I have 4 new, unmounted A 126 400 28 02 and 4 used Pullman hubcaps I was to install on my 300SEL 6.3, which has been sold long ago. I am in San Francisco. I have not figured out what to ask for the set. Rod |

You might also have some luck looking at VW and Audi as some used the same bolt pattern. However, you may need wheel spacers to get the offset correct and hub caps might be an iffy issue ( clearing the wheel center ) .
If it really comes down to it, look at oval track steel wheel manufacturers, ( Aero , MRT / MRW, Basset, Diamond to name a few ) they might be able to use VW steel centers on new barrels. This would get you the proper offset and the MB caps would probably work. |

I may have actually found another alternative! There is a W203 wheel (non-USA, big surprise) that is a 15x6 et31 that would be a perfect fit (A203-400-00-02). There are 6 in the US and 1000+ in Germany, however they are blocked for sale. I'm having my parts manager call to see if they will sell them to me and release the block. I should find out in the next day or two, otherwise I may have to go with my original used parts route. A drive to San Fran wouldn't be a big deal at all for a set of wheels, just keeping my fingers crossed for a brand new set for under $400.
I appreciate the suggestion of the custom wheels or VW wheels (didn't even think to go that way), but to me, there is something about factory parts. I know I will be the only one that would know about it, but to someone with a horrible case of OCD that has spent well over $50k on a $12k car (on a good day); it would drive me up the wall... LOL!

Did you see this ad?
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-used-parts-sale-wanted/369481-15-inch-123-steel-wheels-hubcaps-sale.html The Classic Center had no hold and said about $100 each for the 203 400 00 02 wheels, list $130. That was January 2015.

The other thing is that "if you can buy it don't build it" ( assumes reasonable cost to buy ) I've sliced steel wheels apart on a brake lathe to make what I wanted and later just bought premade. My next endovor is to procure more R class 18" steel spares and widen them so I can use 2nd hand race slicks. |

Just wanted to thank everyone who responded and/or gave some guidance or suggestions. I have now acquired a brand new set of 15x7 w126 steel wheels thanks to Hages in San Francisco!

15 inch steel wheels
i am trying to determine if a 15 inch Pullman type hubcap will fit on the spare tire steel wheel part no. 203-400-00-02 has anyone tried to verify proper fitment? Joshuajeeper alluded to same on his post as an alternative to the 15 inch steel wheels on hold in Germany the part number is the spare tire on w202 and w203 chassis from what I can tell

Yes, the 15" pullman hubcaps will fit the W203 steel wheel. The w203 and the w126 wheels (which is what I ended up with) had both used plastic style hubcaps originally, but my 15" stainless caps (w115 / w100 caps) fit and stay perfectly. They do stick out by about 1/8" further compared to the 14" caps though.
