Hella E code lights that use the H4 bulbs are even better than the euros for vision. Not nearly as good looking as a good set of euros though. And I say this, but once I found a pair of euros the E codes went to the shelf in the garage.

Hmm... my dad's 300SEL 3.5 had e-codes in place of the sealed beams but I don't recall that they used H4s. IIRC the low beams and high beams were on/off with the high beam housings having city lights. It had 100w bulbs in each of the 4 headlights and the fog lights. On a desolate rural road the alternator was in deficit
