There's a silly little black plastic clip that slips into a slot on top of the cover behind the passenger-side headlight on a late-model W124. Does anyone have this black plastic c-clip they can sell me? You can see it in the photo in the following link on the bottom left corner of the image just above the thin rubber hose that stretches across the engine bay:

I don't mess with those anymore and the headlights stay aligned just fine.

Douglas is not looking for the alignment locking clip.

He needs the circular clip that holds the back of the headlight cover to the plastic headlight "cup" (the plastic tub that the headlight sits in the tub also acts as the air intake on M104s) . It was only used on late M104 models.

Thanks for clarifying, David. You are right, of course. I can't even find this clip anywhere in the parts diagrams. It's a silly part, but I'd like to find one.
