WANTED power steering brace/bracket 1976 300D w114/115
Here is the part i need. It attaches to the front of the block on the same bolts that hold the pan on. The two holes on the right attach to the power steering pump support bracket.
You can see a pic of it here in another thread . . . http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-used-parts-sale-wanted/370801-1968-76-mercedes-114-115-parts-2.html Thanks, Gus the shadetreeguy Last edited by shadetreeguy; 10-31-2015 at 10:28 PM. Reason: wanted |

I could be wrong but the picture you posted
Doesn't look like the power steering brackets I'm used to seeing on an OM61X engine. If you google an image search for the brackets you might even find a used one on a competitors site for 40 USD... ...on the whole the parts on a Mercedes have a part number stamped in them - especially big parts like that. No part number? => Probably not original.

Oh it has a part number on it. I never thought to list it. This is off a 1976 which seems to be a transition year for this model. When I get home I'll both list the number and do an image search with the part number.
Thanks, Gus |

I lied! There is no part number on it. I know this motor is not the original motor. I have paperwork saying the motor was replaced within a few years after the initial sale.

I am still looking for one of these brackets. Look I'm not doing a restoration project; this is a car my teenage son drives. It's an old bomb basically. I'm not looking to spend a half days wages just for this flat iron bracket. You got one you want to sell? Call me!
Thanks for reading this post, Gus |
