Wanted 81 Mercedes 300SD Parts - W126 Chassis

Hi All! I am looking for some specific parts for my 1981 300SD 126 chassis.

Car is Grey Exterior with Black interior

Here is an initial list:

1. Black Sun Visors (driver and passenger) in good condition
2. Passenger side Mirror motor in working condition (if entire unit prefer grey)
3. Netting for the back of the driver and passenger seats - car came with netting and trim for netting removed (black seats)
4. Working Center Console Climate Control Push button unit (would prefer a working original to the rebuilt)

Thanks for looking feel free to PM me with any questions!

No parts to offer but all 126 mirrors are grey rather than body color. I never understood that.

It's your car, but I'd strongly advise the rebuilt push button unit. Sounds like you're down to mostly cosmetics, but this little guy is critical to a happy and safe ride, so I'd go with dependability. I've been to this party a few times, and had the used units fail in a couple of years or less. Anyone you know with a World Pac account can get it for you for way less than $200 with the core (haven't needed to buy one in about 4 or 5 years, so I'm not up on current pricing) and it will keep on working for a very long time. What fails on these are the solders -- after 30 or so years of being pushed, they finally break, and while you can go through and redo a gazillion solders, I'd rather have someone do 'em all and guarantee the work. I've got three of the rebuilts still working after 7 years, and I've got 7 rebuilts I've replaced for others several years ago that are still going strong with no wiggles. Easy as they are to pull, I won't even chance a used one again.

Thanks for the input! I have been going back and forth on getting the rebuilt and the main issue I have is definitely the cosmetics - usually not quite the same. I will probably end up purchasing one, but thought I would try to see if I can locate one that cosmetically fit better ;)
