FS 1987 part out thread

This is a weird thread, I'll say that up front.

I'm interested in buying this 87 300TD and pulling the engine and transmission.

I'm not interested in almost anything else on the car. I will have a weekend to strip the car of all available parts and will ship them if interested. After that the car will be junked. These will be fire-sale priced parts.

Please let me know ASAP what you are interested in and where it will be shipped. Additional pictures available.

Car will be in the DC metro area (College Park) when parted out.

What would you like for the tandem power steering/SLS pump?

Hogweed 01-02-2016 10:13 PM

Colin (renntag) is a very good guy (as you may know).....i've been trying to get this car off him for 2 years but i'm too cheap.

Sorry, I'll be keeping that as the car I'm putting this into is a wagon and I want to keep SLS.

Guys. I am just too busy to part the car out. I live 75 miles from it, just finished remodeling our house stem to stern, sold it, and am not sifting through the ashes so to speak of our entire life in storage, while working full time and funding my family in Hawaii as we wait to close on a farm. Hogweed has been to our home and knows the whole story.

There are many fresh parts on the car, it was a driver and would have been capable of a transcontinental journey the day of its unfortunate injury.

I have since purchased an 85 TD in Hawaii that my wife drives daily. With that our 83 TD and 86 SDL will be up for sale. Both are located in Northern Virginia. Anyone interested in a Ducati 916 4 valve Monoposto? A pristine 91 suburban V2500 with 75K miles? Private message so as not to pollute this thread. Make me not ship this stuff.

Yes. From what I recall (I haven't been back out to the car for almost a month because of snow) it's crack free.

PARSHOOT1 02-16-2016 09:16 PM

Okay thx. A crack free dash would almost be deemed a "find"!

I couldn't quite tell from the pics, is the dash black? I'm interested in black or gray. Hopefully the nice warm up we're going to have this weekend will melt the blasted snow and enable you to take a look.

Yep, it's black. I just can't remember if it's fully intact. I'll try to get a picture up ASAP.
