Good engines, cheap prices!
I am moving and need to sell everything. Numerous good engines, open to offers on them but I'll throw an asking price on each. Here's what I have:
* SALE PENDING: OM617 3.0L turbo, from early 80's W126 300SD. Had receipt when I bought it for rebuild work costing over $5000, and seller (found via a fellow forum member) claimed that the car had a catastrophic rear collision a few thousand miles after putting the rebuilt engine back into the car. I don't know where that receipt is anymore though. I paid $2000 and it's been sitting for 3 years since. Should be a great replacement for any diesel Mercedes 116, 123, or 126. It appears to be non-EGR. Asking $500. * SALE PENDING: OM617 3.0L turbo, from 1980 W116 300SD, which was my first 116 and beloved car until I got hit by a truck. This one is still in the chassis, which has collision damage, is stripped of the interior, glass, and trunk lid, but is driveable (on/off of a trailer or around your garage/property, would not try taking such a stripped vehicle onto the road). Has rebuilt injectors with Monark nozzles, new Bosch glow plugs, new fuel return line, a new OEM vacuum hose, etc. No EGR! Come pull the engine or tow away the whole car. I have an engine hoist and tools to help pull the engine, just have never done it personally so lack experience. Transmission is also great. Asking $500 with or without the chassis & transmission, etc. * SALE PENDING: OM617 3.0L euro NA, from a grey market W123 300D. Purchased from a fellow forum member, but never put to use. Purported to be in good shape and running well, but not rebuilt or anything. Pretty sure this has NO EGR. Asking $500 which is what I think I paid. * SALE PENDING: OM616 2.4L euro with SLS head and pump, from a grey market W123 240TD. Purchased from a fellow forum member, but never put to use. The original car had a tree fall on it during a windstorm, so ended up being parted out. I also have the differential from the same car that I can include. SLS pump could be disabled but the ideal car to put this into would be another TD. Paid $600, more details and pictures here: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-used-parts-sale-wanted/320849-1982-240td-wagon-parts-please-read.html. Asking $500. * M117 4.5L V8 D-jet, from a 1974 W116 450SE. Runs well, sounds great, and has good power, but will need maintenance tasks commonly needed on this age of engine to be at it's best. Still in the chassis, which got hit in the right rear. I loved the feel of this engine better than any other Mercedes I've owned until it got wrecked. Not fuel-efficient but FUN. Personally I prefer the D-jet 4.5 to the later K-jet (have owned several of each). Car is stripped of interior but is still driveable (on/off of a trailer or around your garage/property, would not try taking such a stripped vehicle onto the road). Transmission is also great. Come pull the engine or tow away the whole car. Asking $200 with or without the chassis & transmission, etc. Last edited by Raptelan; 04-26-2016 at 03:09 PM. |

MANY THANKS to Raptelan and wife ! Picked up the OM616 engine w/SLS head casting, true Euro Sanden A/C set-up, and M-Pump & lines on Memorial Day, and now proudly sitting on my garage floor. Going on stand in a few days.

Thanks Greazzer, glad everything worked out and that these engines all found new homes (except sadly the M117 which is now sitting in a scrapyard).
