who broke their wastegate cover spring?

I did. on the 85.

anyone have a spare handy?

more info

The garrett t3 turbo hides its wastegate adjustment behind a cap that is held in place by a flat spring that is difficult to remove in place due to access/corrosion.

mine is somewhat mangled & in pieces

will put up a pic of the carnage tonite...

Um, the garret doesn't have a wastegate, that's the smog arv on the turbine housing.

Only the KKK has a wastegate~ and wastegates are on the turbine~hot side.

there were more coils to the spring before I came along

buy a thick enough circlip


...if you can measure accurately enough.


That spring clip is incredibly obnoxious.
