OM603 engine complete FS in SF Bay Area

I have been looking for a wagon that needs an engine but I never found one and need the space now so must part with my excellent running OM603.
This is a good running engine! my Indy said it will put a smile on someone's face.
I believe it has original #14 head (I just KNOW someone would ask!) and I will warrant the head for 3 months if that makes one feel better about a #14 head (will supply replacement late version head if needed). FWIW I am still running a #14 on my 300D for 6 or 8 years now (the Blue Bomb shown in my gallery pics). I feel the failure of most of the 603 heads was related to overheated engines caused by negligence related to poor cooling system maintenance (plugged radiators, bad viscous fans, etc.) or coolant leaks from cracked Behr rad necks, I've seen too many of them not to blame that stupid plastic design!

Mileage on this engine was around 165K when my wife wrecked her '87 300D (I still have mine) so I salvaged as much as I could before sending the rest to Benz Heaven.
My Indy replaced the lifters as they were getting noisy (replaced them in my car too as I am a stickler over things like that). Has good glow plugs and injectors working properly.
This engine didn't use excessive oil and the turbo runs strong.
The IP was working to spec, engine idled smooth with no unusual noises. I have records of what I have done during the time we owned the car. I believe the timing chain was replaced but I need to look at service history to verify (too many cars too little memory!).
Comes fitted with a good alternator and a working AC compressor (I may remove the AC if the engine isn't sold soon because my '87 needs AC, I've also been considering taking the turbo off this engine because I think the one in my '87 has worn bearings as oil consumption is increasing.

If desired, the buyer can also have an almost new cherry picker with engine.
Pick up only in San Mateo, CA
I may be able to locate an engine moving guy but the buyer would have to make arrangements with him at his shop.
PM me if interested. I have a friend who hinted to me he wants a big diesel for upgrading an older car but I would rather sell it to a Forum member who needs a good engine (and keep him engaged with his gasser!).
asking $1200 or BO. No swaps please! Have too many cars now.
