W124 Part Out, Choice Bits 300E

Hello,

I am helping a friend part out his car... He was driving this in December, up until someone modified it... '91 300E, 109K. Everything worked up until it the collision. The friend is a Mercedes technician of some 30+ years, funny thing is, this wasn't the typical Mechanic's car... Maybe it's because he is actually German... I dunno...

New Parts

Rear Bilstein Touring Shocks, 5K miles, $150
New Water Pump, 10K miles,
Rear Discs, 5K miles,
Fuel Injectors, 1K miles, $150
Rebuilt AC Clima Unit, 1 year old, $100
New Air Pump, 1 year old, $200

Choice Bits

This car has the nice sound system; all the speakers & amplifiers worked perfect, head unit too.
15" Chromies with chrome lug nuts
Nice Dark Blue interior, clean
Grille in excellent shape

All inquiries welcome...

Only a few parts have been taken so far; let me know what you are interested in and I will take pics of it directly.

Any more details on the sound system? Is head unit stock? Casette or CD? # of speakers? etc.?

Thanks.

Stock Becker, yes. I forget the number of speakers, pretty sure it's the stock one with the most possible? Separate amplifiers. The head unit has a cassette, but somehow an aftermarket CD player in the rear is hooked up, perhaps by an FM modulator? I'll find out on each of this and post pics.

Okay, the number of speakers is 6 (2 in the dash, 2 in the front doors, and 2 in the back deck. Turns out the CD player is not hooked up, it is a Craig anyways, so... Antenna works great too, but it will need a new base/gasket between the car and the antenna itself. Pics of the radio are coming, in the meantime here is a pic of the amps. I can get pics of the speakers if need be.

Edited- for radio pics.

Do you have temp. sensor, two prong @ on top of head, last sensor nearest fire wall? Also need crank sensor, long version, mounts to flywheel under oil filter?

Thanks

Just wanted to give a vote of confidence for fahrvergnugen if anyone else needs W124 parts. I needed a big chunk of body metal from around the spring perch, which is kind of a pain to cut out, but he cut it out for me at a very fair price for the labor and sent it to me. Great communication, great care to cut the part right and ship it fast. Much appreciated.

It's in western Colorado, and I don't think you'll have any problems. If there are any I'm practically within walking distance.

I've bought a lot from ridgerunner, if that helps. Keep in mind, PayPal covers you a Lot more than it would me... Anyways, let me know if you have any questions...

I'd a never taken this car apart with just RR door and dog leg damage. Even if the rear suspension needed work it would not have been a difficult fix.
