The trans is from a w123 with a mechanical speedometer cable. Correct?
I believe someone bought one of these to put it in a late 107 chassis and discovered he needed to swap the tail cone with one that had an electronic connection for the speedometer.

Correct.
Mechanical. the other way is to plunge "guts" from w123 240/300d manual instrument table or even w124 300d manual ...and you will be 2-3% off.

Hi, do you still have the shifter assembly? And would you be willing to sell that separately?
I've got a 717.432 for a stripped 300se conversion race car project that i need to be able to shift.
