FS OM603.971 & OM603.960

No idea what to ask, thinking it's worth $950 based on what I have in parts/pieces so I'll start there. Going to try c-list today also.

If nobody's interested I'll probably start disassembling and listing parts on Evilbay next week.

I need to make room for winter around here, and have these engines for sale:

- OM603.971 (3.5L) complete on stand (stand not included). I removed this from my '93 300SD, drove it as a winter sloppy-weather ride, thought I'd use the engine for a project so I scrapped the car. Started quickly and smoothly, didn't smoke or shake, leaks oil. ~290,000miles. Currently has M1 TD&T in the crankcase. This engine has some desirable parts originally as follow:
- "Euro" Exhaust manifold (same casting as Euro, but the US one has the EGR port drilled).
- Inclined-injection head. Seems to be a later than original, also I have a fairly recent receipt for a valve-job
- Stronger timing-chain cover (late version)
- Late version vacuum pump
- afterglow plugs, relay, harness, and temp-sensor
- 3.5L injection pump, develops much more low-end. -- problem is I broke the shutoff lever inside the pump, can be repaired/replaced but an oops on my part, otherwise had no fuel leaks (dealer replaced at one point under warranty).
- windage-tray in sump
- R-134a A/C compressor (and desirable mount)
- horizontal oil cooler
- larger alternator
- Garrett turbo, was rebuilt fairly recently (have receipt). I believe this is the T-30 55
- Downpipe, 3-4' from turbo including flex, so that I could make an exhaust pipe more easily

Probably other stuff I'm not thinking of. It has been reasonably well maintained by my PO (neighbor who has some spotless vintage diesel benzes)

- OM603.960 (3.0L) removed from my '87 300TD, I had an engine I built for the car with more power so this one came out. Had 247,000miles on the car when I pulled the engine, no problems / ran great. I sold the head and turbo from the car, head was crack-free and all piston crowns show even distribution of carbon (no steam-cleaned cylinders) to make that more evident to the buyer. The intake and exhaust manifolds with flex pieces, injection lines, injection pump, ... pretty much everything except the clutch/fan, turbo, head, and injectors should be here. This was a Nashville, TN born and raised car so the block and all of its attachments are as rust-free and clean as you'd expect for a well cared for car. The engine is on a home-made dolly under my bench which goes with it or not, up to the buyer. I have the original oil cooler also (vertical 124-version) in good condition with lines attached. Also the downpipe with flex and catalyst are included to bolt-flange. Was also running M1 TD&T oil and the correct G-05 coolant.

I would like to sell all to one buyer, and have it pick-up at my house in Angola, Indiana NE corner, where I-69 & I-80/90 cross). If this doesn't work out I'll look at what it takes to split it up and scrap whatever is too large to put in boxes and ship UPS from my house.

Also included if someone wants them are several W140 parts, and 124 parts that I don't have the heart to toss in the trash. Stuff like '93 300SD headlamp assemblies, 124 wood parts and sunroof assembly, and LOTS of bolts/hardware.

I'll be in and out of here over the next couple of days, so if you click the SEND EMAIL instead of SEND PM I will get it sooner, and I see my PMs are almost full so if your PM is bounced try again as I'm hoping to clear some space later today when I'm home.

I do have a skid-steer (also FS) here with about a 9' lifting capacity so I can load this on a truck if necessary, can probably borrow an engine lift from a neighbor to stuff it in a van or closed trailer also (haven't asked but pretty sure).

-- Bump --

Still have these, sold the 3.0L IP but everything else is here, any takers for the whole pile make an offer.

Prefer email to PM, I haven't had the time to check in here much lately.
