Wanted: Radio for '86 W126

Looking for a known-good radio for a 2nd gen W126. I'd prefer one of the ones that takes a code (need a code with the radio please!) vs the type that has to go to the dealer to be reset. I think they showed up in '87 or '88?

The radio in my SDL is completely dead - no signs of life. All the usual suspects are checked, power is present in the right places, but no dice from the unit itself.

I'll happily go with a newer radio as long as it'll plug into the existing plugs. Just not really ready to upgrade the sound system yet and listening to road noise and engine drone is getting a little old.
