WTB a chrome plated air filter top for 617
Anybody have one of these for me to dress up my 39 STude? I'd take the whole assembly chromed as well.

Or possibly a nicely cleaned and painted one.

Tom, if the metal is unpitted, just take your parts to a plating shop. Any Harley shop can point you in the right direction. Not terribly expensive. The major cost is associated with the amount of time they have to spend at the wire wheel and buffer to prep the surface.

Of course that will work. OTOH if someone happened to have one lying about It would be more convenient than getting mine plated. I even have a spare motor in the basement I can take the AC assembly off and send out. That will be my course if I cannot find one already done.

Tom, if you have to go with plating, you may want to explore nickle plating instead of chrome. I had an item nickle plated some time ago and the luster more closely approaches polished aluminum rather than the hard, bright chromium.
