Forced to move all the cars, so they are for sale

I got a notice from the city that I must remove all the cars from the property. I am now forced to either move the cars somewhere else, or sell them all at once. I have about 14 parts/project cars that will need to go. All but two are 123s, and all Diesel (or were: engines removed). There is one W126 300SDL (used to belong to Ray Ramano of "Everybody Loves Raymond "), and one 300CE (I have a 2.5 Turbo engine I was going to swap in, along with a complete wire harness for the Diesel). I have one complete low mileage (wrecked but repairable) 300CD, and another repairable CD without an engine and trans. I have one '85 300D with slight front end damage, with a decent blue interior. The rest are parts cars. These all are rust free (for the most part) CA cars. I will entertain any reasonable offer for all or part. I have another 20 days or so to comply, so time is of the essence. I may look for a building that I can store them in, and also to work on them if I can't find a buyer for all of them soon. That will require me to rent out my house (or at least part of it) to pay for the lease on said building. That is not my first choice, but it might come to that. P.M. For details, Rich

I can try to get some today. It is Petrol Green with Palomino interior, I think '82 or 3. It has slight rear end damage, and replacement (wrong color) hood and fenders. The guy I got it from said he would trade back the correct color fenders and hood for ones that I have, so all the parts will be back to original color. We just have not had time to make that happen. Photos later......Rich

OK, thanks Rich. I have an open thread on this and other forums looking for a W123 shell.... OR, you can use my personal email which you already have. Please try to get me the snappies by Wednesday as I am on the road Thursday and out of pocket until next week with limited internet while traveling.

I was able to get to the car to get some photos. It was destined to be a parts car before I got it, and had the engine and trans removed, as well as the uncracked dash. It has a cracked dash just sitting in place, not bolted on. Also, it has a cracked windshield. The rear damage is worse than I remembered, but still reparable I think. One positive thing is that the rear windshield is PERFECT with no de-laminating whatsoever. I also have a complete '85 coupe that has a blown engine. Photos coming soon on that one.......Rich

'85 coupe. It has a decent paint job (the finish), but the masking job was terrible. The Palomino interior is decent- about what one would expect. I was told it overheated, but later found out that the oil gauge line broke and pumped all the oil out of the engine. I looked at it at night, without the key in hand because the owner left it there and caught a cab back to LA. I had a friend deliver the $ and pick up the key and title, so I could have it towed home. I tried to get it started after plugging the hole, but it seemed to have very little compression.....Rich

OK, the damaged one / possible parts car is too much of a project for me currently.

The 1985 -- other than a blown engine, what else? It looks fine from the rear, so

1. Any rust whatsoever?
2. Other than blown engine, what else?

No detectable rust anywhere. The hinge pockets, fenders, rear quarters and underside are all rust free. There is a little surface rust on the battery tray, but very minor in my opinion.

Municipal governments have authority to extend time periods like the 20 limit you are now under. Usually, people in your position have to show that you are making a good faith effort to comply but need additional time for full compliance. Talk to the compliance official.

You may have equities in your favor. If, for example, you have had a number of cars there for several years and no one complained and then all of a sudden they gave you notice to move them. Those equities would warrant more time for compliance with this order to remove them.
