WTB: W126 trailer hitch
Simple as the title, except not really looking for the (crappy in my opinion) curt style that just bolts to the bumper and spare tire well. Preferably something custom that mounts on the bumper shock points. Let me know if you have and/or have the means to make one. Thanks!

I was trying to find an example. I owned and sold an ORIS brand r107 hitch to @ca280sl (Dennis) which had been on a euro 380sl, with some cuts in the skirt to accommodate it. That is about as original as you can get, oris brand I think.
I would like to see how they bolt up to the car. My 2006 Honda Ridgeline has factory weld nuts that have a ton of resistance, sort of like adjusting solid lifters on an engine. I wonder where any hitch would mount on a w126. If there aren't any weld nuts, then you are drilling through sheet metal somewhere. Where is the question. Where is there "frame" metal thick enough to drill through? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the responses! Not sure if there is a better way to link another thread, but this is what I am in search of:
Trailer hitch receiver for 126 body I messaged "TheGears" asking whether he is still in production/sale, but have yet to receive one back. |

You still have that thing?? I should've kept it and transported it over to NWA when I moved (if it is the grey one I am thinking of). Slim pickins over here... sun baked but at least not rusted (unless it came from up North). If that's the one, pretty sure it was welded in.
